MDM Architect

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MDM Architect (Master Data Management Architect) to design and implement enterprise-level Master Data Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in MDM architecture, data governance, data quality, data integration, and enterprise data platforms.

The MDM Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, application teams, and technology leaders to establish trusted, consistent, and governed master data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) architecture and solutions.

• Define MDM strategies, frameworks, data models, and implementation roadmaps.

• Develop solutions for customer, product, supplier, and other master data domains.

• Design data integration patterns between MDM platforms and enterprise applications.

• Establish processes for data quality, data cleansing, matching, merging, and deduplication.

• Define and implement golden record / single source of truth strategies.

• Collaborate with Data Governance teams to establish data ownership, stewardship, standards, and policies.

• Integrate MDM solutions with systems such as SAP, Salesforce, ERP, CRM, data warehouses, and cloud platforms.

• Evaluate and recommend MDM technologies and architectural approaches.

• Work with engineering teams to define APIs, integration services, workflows, and data pipelines.

• Ensure MDM solutions meet enterprise security, privacy, scalability, and performance requirements.

• Create architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and solution documentation.

• Provide technical leadership throughout MDM implementation and migration projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, or related roles.

• Strong experience designing and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.

• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data governance, data quality, data integration, and metadata management.

• Experience with one or more MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, IBM MDM, Reltio, or similar technologies.

• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.

• Experience with ETL/ELT and data integration technologies.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, and enterprise integration patterns.

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with data quality, matching, survivorship, hierarchy management, and golden-record concepts.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry.

• Experience with regulated data environments and enterprise data governance.

• Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar enterprise platforms.

• Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory requirements.

• Experience leading enterprise MDM implementations and migrations.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite in the Raleigh office.
