Job description

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong experience in Market Risk or Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) , supporting large-scale technology change and transformation programs within investment banking. The role requires a blend of functional risk knowledge, data analysis and technical understanding (including Python) .

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work on risk transformation programs (Market Risk / CCR / FRTB) across technology and business teams
  2. Gather and document business and functional requirements for risk systems and reporting
  3. Translate requirements into detailed functional specifications and data mappings
  4. Perform data analysis and validation using SQL / Python for risk and trade datasets
  5. Support implementation of regulatory changes (e.g., FRTB) across systems and processes
  6. Collaborate with technology teams, quants and stakeholders to drive delivery
  7. Participate in UAT, testing and validation of risk calculations and outputs
  8. Ensure alignment across front office, risk and IT systems

Must-Have Skills

  1. Strong experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets / Investment Banking
  2. Strong exposure to:
  3. Market Risk or CCR
  4. FRTB or regulatory risk frameworks
  5. Strong data analysis skills (SQL mandatory)
  6. Working knowledge of Python for data analysis / validation
  7. Experience in large-scale tech change / transformation programs
  8. Strong requirement gathering, documentation and stakeholder management skills

Domain Experience (Critical)

  1. Hands-on experience in:
  2. Market Risk (VaR, sensitivities, stress testing) OR
  3. CCR (exposure calculation, derivatives, counterparty risk)
  4. Understanding of:
  5. Trade lifecycle and risk data flows
  6. Financial products:
  7. Derivatives (swaps, options, futures), bonds

Good-to-Have

  1. Experience working with risk systems / platforms
  2. Exposure to data lineage, reconciliation and controls
  3. Experience working with quants / model teams
  4. Familiarity with Agile delivery models
  5. Basic understanding of data architecture or APIs

Experience

  1. ~7–12 years (depending on depth of domain + program exposure)

Note: Candidates must have worked on regulatory or large-scale risk transformation programs (not BAU reporting roles)
