Description

Several years of professional experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, transportation, freight forwarding, supply chain, or a comparable operational logistics environment.
Demonstrated hands-on experience preparing and coordinating domestic and international shipments.
Working knowledge of customs and international trade concepts.
Experience working with express couriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
Experience reviewing shipping, receiving, customs, or transport documentation.
Ability to work independently, prioritize operational activities, and resolve logistics issues with limited supervision.
Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding shipping documentation, inventory records, customs information, and compliance requirements.
Experience with ERP or inventory-management systems; SAP experience is strongly preferred.

Preferred Knowledge / Qualifications

Knowledge of international shipping and customs processes.
Knowledge of HS/commodity classification, country of origin, customs valuation, Incoterms, and import/export documentation.
Dangerous-goods / lithium-battery shipping training or certification.
Familiarity with courier and freight-forwarder shipping platforms.
Experience working in a secure or controlled facility would be advantageous.
Strong written and spoken English.
Physical and Security Requirements
Ability to safely lift and handle packages weighing at least 50 lbs.
Ability to perform operational loading-dock, receiving, packing, and shipping activities throughout the working day.
Ability to obtain and maintain the security vetting required for unescorted access within the VTC facility.
Ability to comply with applicable safety, security, logistics, and trade-compliance requirements.
