Job description
Who we are
Captify is now part of the Verve Group, sitting within Verve for Advertisers, a global, end-to-end advertising technology business that helps brands and agencies reach their target audiences across the open web. Operating as a full-stack ad exchange, Verve for Advertisers connects buyers with premium publishers across mobile apps, CTV, and digital screens.

Captify is regularly recognised for innovation and excellence in advertising technology. Captify UK recently won Campaign’s Ad Tech provider of the year award.
What we’re looking for
The Head of Pre Sales Solutions will be responsible for building, developing and leading Captify's demand side Client Strategy function, with a particular focus on Presales, RFPs, pitches, and sales enablement.
This is a role for a builder. You will take the existing foundations of our Presales approach and turn them into a structured, scalable and high performing function that becomes a critical partner to Sales.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Insights and senior leadership, you will help translate client briefs and business challenges into compelling Captify solutions. You will develop the narratives, propositions and materials that enable our commercial teams to demonstrate the value of Captify's data, insights and media solutions.
You will be hands on in the delivery of account growth while also building the processes, frameworks, tools and capabilities needed to scale the Pre Sales function over time.
The successful candidate will combine commercial strategy, client understanding, storytelling and operational leadership. They will be equally comfortable leading a complex RFP, presenting to a senior client, developing a sales enablement programme and developing the evolution of the Pre Sales function for the UK business.
What you’ll do
Develop and lead the Presales function
- Deliver on the vision, remit and operating model for the Pre Sales team, including sales enablement, RFP support and commercial development of key accounts.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team, setting clear goals and creating a culture of curiosity, quality and pace.
- Create the processes, templates, frameworks and tools that let the function scale, from brief intake and prioritisation to delivery and post-pitch review.
- Set KPIs for the function and report on its impact on pipeline, win rates and revenue.
RFPs, pitches and new business
- Oversee the response to strategic RFPs, pitches and new business opportunities, owning the solution, the narrative and the quality of what goes out.
- Interrogate client briefs to uncover the real business challenge, then shape tailored solutions using Captify's data, insights and media capabilities.
- Present to senior client stakeholders alongside Sales, confidently articulating Captify's value and answering challenging questions.
- Maintain and develop a library of sales enablement materials; reusable RFP answers, case studies and proof points to speed up responses and improve consistency.
- Capture learnings from wins and losses and feed them back into our propositions and approach.
Sales enablement
- Design and deliver a sales enablement programme that equips the commercial team to sell Captify's full proposition with confidence.
- Develop pitch decks, product and solution playbooks, battlecards, objection handling and training materials.
- Onboard new commercial hires on Captify's offering, positioning and competitive landscape.
- Keep enablement materials current as products, market conditions and client needs evolve.
Key account development and commercial storytelling
- Craft clear, compelling narratives that connect Captify's search intelligence, insights and media solutions to client and agency business objectives.
- Develop strategic solutions for priority clients and agencies, identifying opportunities to grow existing partnerships.
- Stay close to market, industry and competitor trends, turning them into points of view and thought leadership that strengthen our positioning.
- Partner with Insights to bring data-led stories and audience insight into pitches and client conversations.
Cross-functional leadership
- Act as the bridge between Sales, Marketing, Product, Insights and senior leadership, aligning teams around client needs and commercial priorities.
- Feed client and market feedback into Product to inform roadmap and proposition development.
- Work with Marketing to keep positioning, messaging and sales materials consistent.
- Influence senior stakeholders and help shape commercial strategy at leadership level.
What we're looking for
- Significant experience in presales, solutions consulting or commercial strategy within ad tech, media, a media agency or a data business.
- A track record of leading complex RFPs and winning pitches with major advertisers and agencies.
- Experience building or scaling a team or function, ideally from early foundations, including hiring and developing people.
- Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic, data, audiences, measurement and the agency landscape.
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex data and technology into simple, persuasive narratives.
- Confidence presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, both with clients and internally.
- A builder's mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, able to create structure, and motivated by building something new.
- Highly organised, able to manage several high-stakes opportunities at once without compromising on quality.
- A collaborative approach, with experience working closely with Sales, Product, Marketing and Insights teams.
- Experience designing sales enablement or training programmes is a strong plus.
What success looks like
In your first 3 months
- You have built strong relationships across Sales, Marketing, Product, Insights and leadership, and understand how Presales works today.
- You have reviewed recent RFPs and pitches, identified what's working and where the gaps are, and shared a clear plan for the function.
- You are already leading key strategic opportunities and making a visible difference to their quality.
In your first 6 months
- A clear operating model is in place, with a defined engagement process, prioritisation criteria and consistent templates for RFPs and pitches.
- A core library of propositions, case studies and proof points is live and used by the commercial team.
- The first phase of a sales enablement programme has launched, and new joiners are onboarded through it.
In your first 12 months
- Pre Sales is seen by Sales as a critical, trusted partner, and is involved early in priority opportunities.
- You can show measurable impact, such as improved win rates, larger deal sizes or faster RFP turnaround.
- The team is resourced and structured to scale, with clear roles, KPIs and ways of working.
- Client insight from the function is regularly informing Product and Marketing priorities.
