IT Sr Consultant 5 – Cloud‑Native Platform Engineering with Security Clearance

The Information Technology Senior Consultant Level 5 serves as a highly specialized technical expert responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing advanced software and systems solutions across complex operating environments. This role provides senior level technical consulting, leads high impact government defined projects, and delivers expert guidance on emerging technologies, DevOps practices, cloud platforms, and modern infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
• Design, code, and modify software systems to introduce new features, develop high performance algorithms, and integrate applications across diverse operating environments.
• Design and implement complex data interfaces and execute queries for existing or proposed repositories to ensure system reliability, accessibility, and performance.
• Analyze work processes, system behavior, and performance bottlenecks to develop technical solutions and enhance development standards and methodologies.
• Write, review, and maintain technical documentation; support the creation and execution of comprehensive software test plans and procedures.
• Provide specialized consulting in advanced and emerging information technologies, delivering automated solutions to complex processing and architectural challenges.
• Conduct detailed analyses and studies, prepare technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Manage project work as defined by government requirements, leading medium to large complex projects and major phases of enterprise level initiatives.
• Deliver highly technical and specialized guidance to resolve complex IT issues and support system level decision making. Minimum Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (must already be held)
• IAT Level II (Security+ CE, GSEC, CySA+, CCNA Security, or GICSP)
• Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of relevant experience • Associate’s Degree with 15 years of relevant experience • High School Diploma/GED with 20 years of relevant experience Required Technical Expertise
• Strong understanding of VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSphere API, and associated virtualization services.
• Strong understanding of Amazon AWS EC2, EC2 API, and related cloud services.
• Expertise in advanced Kubernetes performance tuning, troubleshooting, and service optimization.
• DevOps proficiency in Go, Ansible, and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Hands on experience with Sidero Labs Talos based Kubernetes platforms.
