Solutions Architect / AI Engineer

Note : Need Public Trust Clearance 

 

1,440 hours over 12 months (about 0.75 FTE, roughly 28 hrs/week)

 

Note : Client notes--Work is performed in the client's existing Microsoft Azure Government environment. Important context for candidates: the client already owns and runs the platform,

 

Environment the team works in: Azure Government, PostgreSQL, dbt, Apache Superset, Python, an existing production LLM and AI assistant with a vector store, OCR and document text extraction, retrieval with source citations, and

row level security enforced at the database.

 

Solutions Architect side (minimum 10+ years, bachelor's in CS or related):

- Azure architecture

- Data and analytics architecture

- Security architecture

- Integrating AI enabled retrieval, search and LLM patterns into applications

- Open source analytics

 

AI / ML Engineer side (minimum 4+ years, bachelor's in CS or related, or equivalent), hands on building applications on retrieval based AI and LLM

services:

- Integrating and EXTENDING existing AI, RAG and LLM capabilities into

applications. Extending an existing assistant, not building one from

scratch. Candidates whose only experience is greenfield model work are not

the right fit.

- Embeddings and vector databases

- Document text extraction and OCR

- Retrieval guardrails and validation

- Retrieval, ranking and citation

- AI feature quality evaluation

- Python
