Job Title: Solutions Architect Location: Pittsburgh, PA(Onsite) Duration: Direct Hire
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and solution design for enterprise-scale document management and content services platforms supporting a major banking organization.
- Define scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions across enterprise document management ecosystems, integrating modern digital platforms with legacy enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, and enterprise architects to deliver strategic content modernization initiatives.
- Define end-to-end solution architecture for document ingestion, content management, workflow orchestration, search and retrieval, and customer-facing document services.
- Develop architecture blueprints, integration patterns, and technical roadmaps.
- Lead architecture discussions and provide technical direction to development teams.
- Define integration strategies across core banking systems, customer applications, workflow/BPM platforms, APIs, and enterprise services.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
- Drive modernization initiatives across legacy and cloud-native platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure operational scalability and resiliency.
- Support performance optimization, disaster recovery, and operational readiness planning.
- Provide governance, architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale distributed systems and applications.
- 10+ years of expertise in solution architecture, system integration, API-driven architectures, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, cloud-native design principles, and enterprise integration patterns.
- 8+ years of experience designing high-volume transaction processing systems and scalable content and document management solutions.
- Technical proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, integration services, and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2).
- Experience with enterprise document management / ECM platforms such as OpenText, IBM FileNet, Hyland OnBase, AEM, or SharePoint.
- Knowledge of Kafka/event streaming platforms, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures, infrastructural scalability, and disaster recovery.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience conducting architecture reviews and technical governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in banking or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with document ingestion, retrieval, metadata management, search, indexing, and document lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, identity/access management, and observability/monitoring platforms.
