Irrigation Technician - Agriculture

Apt Resources is seeking a knowledgeable Irrigation Technician to join our client's team specializing in agricultural technologies in Liwa-Asab, Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated irrigation systems to optimize water usage and enhance crop productivity on various farms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure automated irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and center pivot systems according to agronomic specifications.
• Perform regular maintenance and timely repairs to ensure the systems operate efficiently.
• Monitor soil moisture levels and adjust irrigation schedules based on weather patterns and crop needs.
• Assess and troubleshoot system malfunctions; implement solutions immediately to prevent crop loss.
• Educate farmers and farm workers on proper irrigation system use and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of system configurations, repairs, and improvements made.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding water usage and conservation practices.

• Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician or in a similar role within agriculture.
• Solid understanding of irrigation systems, water management practices, and agricultural techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to irrigation systems.
• Strong analytical skills to assess irrigation efficiency and recommend improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for training and collaborating with farm staff.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Technical certification in irrigation technology or related fields is preferred
• Must have strong knowledge of automation and control systems.
• Experience with controller panels, water pumps, and DP (differential pressure) systems.

Salary: AED 2500 to 3000 plus free accommodation, food, and all other benefits as per UAE laws
