The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is currently leading the search for an experienced technical leader to safeguard advanced artificial intelligence systems on behalf of a premier partner. In this critical capacity, the selected candidate will spearhead the defense, architectural framework, and resilient infrastructure powering state-of-the-art intelligent systems.

Operating in a hybrid capacity out of Dunkirk, NY (requiring three days per week on-site), this position offers direct-hire engagement where you will establish robust technical guardrails, secure advanced automation platforms, and build future-proof cloud environments.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, implement, and maintain hardened security frameworks across specialized intelligence environments, including model repositories, feature repositories, vector databases, and multi-agent execution platforms.

• Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations and threat modeling across intelligence platforms, targeting vulnerabilities within dataset pipelines, model dependencies, and external services.

• Enforce stringent Identity And Access Management policies incorporating fine-grained access mechanisms, cryptographic key lifecycles, and credential protection for automated tools and data resources.

• Collaborate with platform and operations groups to embed automated security policies, secure deployment topologies, and programmatic compliance into continuous delivery workflows.

• Construct advanced telemetry and monitoring systems to track prompt activity, execution steps, tool invocations, and data movements, directly integrating logs with incident response platforms.

• Establish operational sandboxes, network isolation controls, and blast-radius mitigations to contain and govern multi-step agent actions and automated decision-making.

• Direct investigation efforts and forensic analysis regarding potential platform misuse, compromised agentic workflows, or unauthorized data movements.

• Guarantee operational compliance with globally recognized governance standards by delivering automated controls and maintainable, audit-ready verification.

• Generate and manage foundational architectural records, operational standard procedures, and incident execution guides.

• Guide, coach, and elevate junior technical staff in mitigating emergent threats within intelligent platform environments.

What You Bring

• Background of at least 7 years in information technology security or software engineering, including 5+ years dedicated strictly to Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or Platform Security.

• Minimum of 3 years utilizing Container Orchestration, Kubernetes-Based Platforms, Microservices, or Serverless Architecture to harden infrastructure.

• Demonstrated mastery of Identity And Access Management, secret handling, and secure machine-to-machine communication protocols across distributed environments.

• Deep operational expertise applying Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, Data Masking, and access monitoring specifically to machine learning workloads.

• Expertise creating custom automation tooling and working alongside Site Reliability Engineering and systems teams.

• Mastery of compliance, governance, and audit implementation using NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 Type 2.

• Proven history securing Model Endpoints, Model Registries, and AI Gateways within production environments.

• High proficiency in technical documentation and cross-functional communication regarding risk trade-offs and system design.

• Practical knowledge regarding Agentic AI Systems, Workflow Engines, and multi-step execution planners along with their attack vectors.

Compensation & Total Rewards

• Annual base salary range: $144,000 to $160,000.
