Automation Engineer

Location: London - Hybrid
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

We are seeking an experienced Data Process & Automation Engineer to join a leading change and transformation consultancy, supporting clients across process improvement, automation and AI-enabled solutions.

This role will focus on analysing business processes, identifying automation opportunities and delivering scalable solutions using RPA, low-code and emerging AI technologies.

• Analyse end-to-end business processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Design future-state processes focused on efficiency, user experience and risk.
• Build workflow automation solutions using low-code, RPA and AI-enabled technologies.
• Support testing, deployment and operational handover of automation solutions.
• Work with automation tools including UiPath and Celonis.
• Assess where Agentic AI can add value beyond traditional automation.
• Design human-in-the-loop workflows with appropriate controls and governance.
• Define KPIs and measures to track process improvement and benefits.
• Support continuous optimisation following deployment.

• Experience in process improvement, workflow automation or automation engineering.
• Experience with UiPath and/or Celonis.
• Experience with AI-enabled workflow technologies or Agentic AI.
• Familiarity with API integrations and workflow orchestration.
• Experience working across Process, Data and AI disciplines.
• 3+ years experience in a client-facing or consulting environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate or Azure AI would be advantageous.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field would be advantageous.
