Position: Private Credit Operations Consultant
Location: Boston, Massachusetts / New York, NY

Job Overview:
This role involves providing senior subject matter expertise across the private credit and fund operations lifecycle to support the launch of a rated note fund. The consultant will work collaboratively with internal teams to define operating models, produce documentation, and ensure operational readiness. The role is both advisory and hands-on, requiring expertise in private credit operations and fund administration.
Responsibilities:
  • Define the target state operating model for the fund, including responsibilities between the company and the fund administrator.
  • Develop operating procedures and playbooks across key workstreams such as cash management, fund administration, compliance, and loan servicing.
  • Identify control points, handoffs, and risks to ensure readiness for the fund launch.
  • Draft and validate SLA definitions and establish oversight models for administrator relationships.
  • Define loan and fund data requirements for compliance, reporting, and rating agency needs.
  • Trace data quality issues to their root causes and recommend durable solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all documentation is validated and actionable.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in private credit operations, loan operations, fund operations, or fund administration.
  • Deep knowledge of the private credit loan lifecycle, including revolving and delayed draw facilities.
  • Experience managing third-party fund administrator relationships and defining oversight models.
  • Proven ability to produce operating procedures, playbooks, RACI, and SLA documentation.
  • Strong collaboration skills in a matrixed organization, with the ability to align stakeholders and manage risks effectively.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, independently driving workstreams forward.
Strongly Preferred:
  • Experience with rated note fund structures, compliance, and waterfall mechanics.
  • Familiarity with rating agency reporting requirements and associated data needs.
  • Involvement in fund launches with hard readiness gates.
  • Knowledge of private credit structures, including direct lending, broadly syndicated loans, and mezzanine.
  • Exposure to third-party administrator models and systems such as WSO, eFront, or Allvue.
Also Useful:
  • Experience with restructures, workouts, and distressed exchanges.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for process documentation and data analysis.
  • CPA or CFA certification.

Pay Range: $90- $94
