Remote Quarterly travel to London
VIQU has partnered with a specialist data protection and managed services provider supporting organisations with enterprise backup technology, data recovery and ransomware resilience. Due to growth in its customer base, the business is expanding its technical support capability and is looking for a Data Protection Specialist to join its Service Operations function.
The position offers direct customer exposure, hands-on technical ownership and the opportunity to develop further within a specialist technical environment. Key Responsibilities of the Data Protection Specialist• Act as a Level 2 escalation point for Level 1 support
• Troubleshoot straightforward and complex technical issues
• Review application logs and identify technical resolutions
• Escalate issues to vendors and manage them through resolution
• Communicate effectively with customers and partners
• Patch and update applications
• Implement technical changes and service requests
• Complete client data restores
• Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting
• Produce accurate technical documentation
• Administer Rubrik, Druva, Zerto and Commvault applications
• Manage escalations into Level 3 support
• Strong technical background with previous Level 2 IT support experience
• Confident troubleshooting and technical escalation capability
• Strong written and verbal customer communication skills
• Ability to work with technical and business stakeholders
• Backup or DR exposure including Rubrik, Druva, Zerto, Commvault or NetBackup would be advantageous
• VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Azure or AWS knowledge would be advantageous
• Microsoft 365, Windows Server or Linux knowledge would be advantageous
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills would be advantageous
• ITIL awareness would be advantageous
