The Role • Install a variety of electrical systems including cables, junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, and switches. • Perform cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment according to specifications. • Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. • Collaborate effectively with shipbuilding teams to ensure timely project completion. • Ensure all work adheres to stringent safety and quality standards. What You'll Need • A completed Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification, along with a valid SJIB card. • Proven experience in marine installations or large-scale industrial environments. • Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and general safe working requirements. • Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions. • Proficiency in electrical equipment mounting, earthing procedures, and cable terminations to trade standards. • Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
