Job Summary

Position: Geospatial Developer

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: (6 months, extendable)

Location: Remote

Work Schedule: 8am to 5pm PHT

Primary Responsibilities

The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing Enterprise Geospatial Information System (EGIS), including:

• Developing and maintaining geospatial applications and APIs.
• Automating ArcGIS/Esri workflows using Python and ArcPy.
• Integrating ArcGIS Online/Enterprise with AWS and Azure.
• Designing multi-cloud geospatial solutions.
• Working with both Esri and open-source GIS technologies.
• Optimizing spatial databases and geospatial services.
• Creating a Geo-Marketspace for reusable APIs, scripts, and services.
• Producing technical documentation and training materials.

Required Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

• 7+ years of GIS application development experience.
• Strong Python skills (GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, GDAL, Fiona, ArcPy).
• JavaScript mapping libraries (Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox GL JS, ArcGIS JS API).
• ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro.
• Open-source GIS stack (PostGIS, GeoServer, QGIS).
• AWS and Azure cloud experience.
• API development and automation.
• PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Django/GeoDjango.
• Microservices and REST APIs.
• CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
• OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WMTS, WPS).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Cloud-native geospatial formats (COG, STAC, GeoParquet, Zarr)
• Event-driven architecture

• AI prompting experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geomatics, IT, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
