Position Summary

4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Data Scientists to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

1. Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows within the Databricks Lakehouse platform.
2. Implement Medallion architecture, data governance, security controls, and data sharing capabilities.
3. Develop and maintain scalable data processing solutions while improving performance and reliability.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD, testing, deployment, and enterprise data engineering initiatives.

 

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires:

Education	Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience	6+ years of experience in data engineering with Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and cloud-based data platform development.
Technical Skills	Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Medallion Architecture, Unity Catalog, CI/CD, Performance Tuning, Data Engineering
Business / Domain Skills	Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Security, Data Integration, Analytics Engineering, Enterprise Data Management
Communication	Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation	Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
Work Authorization	Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with SAS, Unix, Linux, and enterprise data platform administration.
2. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills with experience supporting modern data architectures.
