The Role
This role is part of the Product & Solutions Marketing team within Cisco's Workplace Technology Group (WTG), which spans Collaboration, Networking, and other Cisco business areas.
The WTG Marketing team is responsible for messaging, positioning, and go-to-market (GTM) execution across a strategic portfolio of products and solutions, serving as a key growth engine for the company.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Solutions, the Solutions Marketing Manager will support the execution of the solution-level marketing strategy for the Workplace Technology portfolio.
In this hands-on role, you will:
- Develop and scale content that communicates Cisco's vision for modernizing how and where people work in the era of AI.
- Work closely with Solutions Marketing, Product Marketing, Customer Advocacy, Sales, and Engineering teams.
- Translate technical innovation and product capabilities into compelling, market-ready stories.
- Help ensure Cisco's modern workplace capabilities are clearly represented across web, events, campaigns, and customer-facing channels.
- This is an execution-focused role that combines content creation, storytelling, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in Solutions Marketing or Product Marketing, preferably within enterprise IT or B2B technology.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, and customer-focused content.
- Experience communicating concepts related to:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- AgenticOps
- Networking
- Collaboration
- Workplace technology
- Strong ability to interview and collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, engineers, sales teams, and field teams.
- Ability to transform stakeholder insights into compelling and reusable customer stories and marketing content.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and matrixed environment.
- Motivated by hands-on execution, creative problem-solving, and developing narratives that reinforce Cisco's market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solutions Messaging & Storytelling
- Support the evolution of the narrative for Cisco's Workplace Technology Group solutions.
- Address key market drivers such as:
- AI
- Workplace transformation
- Sustainability
- Future of work
- Develop compelling stories that communicate Cisco's vision and differentiated value.
- Translate complex technical and product information into clear, outcome-driven narratives.
2. Content Development
- Create high-quality storytelling and marketing assets, including:
- Blogs
- Customer spotlights
- Solution narratives
- Presentations
- Field-facing content
- Web content
- Event and campaign materials
- Ensure content effectively communicates the value and impact of Cisco's workplace technology portfolio.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Sales, Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Advocacy teams.
- Ensure alignment around the "One Cisco" story across products, solutions, and customer touchpoints.
- Interview internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and develop compelling narratives.
- Incorporate stakeholder and customer feedback into marketing content and programs.
4. Go-to-Market Execution
- Contribute to go-to-market plans focused on modernizing and future-proofing workplaces.
- Support solution campaigns and GTM programs across relevant channels.
- Develop content and messaging that support customer engagement and field enablement.
- Help ensure solution messaging is consistently represented across web, campaigns, events, and customer-facing channels.
5. Customer Advocacy & Success Stories
- Partner with Customer Advocacy to identify strong customer success opportunities.
- Develop customer stories that demonstrate the measurable business and workplace impact of Cisco's portfolio.
- Interview customers and internal stakeholders to capture insights, outcomes, and use cases.
- Turn customer experiences into reusable marketing assets.
6. Events & Market Engagement
- Support storytelling and content development for major Cisco and industry events, including:
- Regional innovation events
- Cisco Live
- Partner summits
- Develop presentations, narratives, customer stories, and other event-specific materials.
- Ensure event messaging aligns with the broader WTG solution narrative and GTM strategy.
7. Content Management & Enablement
- Maintain and organize content repositories supporting GTM programs, solution campaigns, and field enablement.
- Ensure marketing assets are accessible, current, organized, and reusable across teams and regions.
- Identify content gaps and opportunities to improve the effectiveness of GTM programs.
8. Competitive Intelligence
- Research competitive positioning and market differentiation.
- Identify key competitive trends, strengths, and gaps.
- Help articulate why Cisco's unique capabilities make it a trusted partner for modern workplace transformation.
- Incorporate relevant competitive insights into messaging, narratives, and GTM content.
