Design Engineer

On behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for multiple Design Engineers at Rolls-Royce, Bristol for 12 month contracts (hybrid).
Due to a significant increase in demand across our aerospace business, we're expanding our team with multiple opportunities available. These roles have been created to support a number of exciting change and transformation initiatives, while also aligning our resources to meet current and future business needs

• Design and develop components and assemblies within gas turbine engine programmes.
• Produce and modify 3D models and engineering definitions using NX CAD, supporting both new product introduction (NPI) and modifications to existing products.
• Collaborate closely with subsystem teams, manufacturing engineers, and a wide range of stakeholders to translate requirements into robust engineering solutions.
• Investigate design challenges, identify root causes of technical issues, and develop practical solutions.

As an Design Engineer, you will:

• Create and modify 3D CAD component and assembly models using NX and associated.
• Design components within gas turbine engine structures and casings, supporting civil aerospace programmes.
• Deliver design modifications to existing products.
• Engage proactively with subsystem teams and stakeholders across the business to understand design requirements and technical constraints.
• Work closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and support efficient production.
• Investigate design issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Produce and maintain engineering documentation, models, drawings, and technical definitions.
• Support design reviews and contribute technical expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing solutions and identifying opportunities to enhance product performance and design processes.
