The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, for the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within the intermodal yard. • Drive and position hostlers to manage container placement and chassis. • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics operations. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory. • Prior experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain open availability, including weekends and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Basic communication and teamwork skills.
