Role Overview

Technical Project Managers (TPMs) drive our clients’ success. They’re strong communicators and problem-solvers who combine project leadership with the technical know-how to get complex deployments across the finish line.

At Pointr, our TPMs partner closely with clients and internal teams to deliver premier indoor technology solutions. You’ll lead multiple client projects from planning through deployment, working across client stakeholders and Pointr’s technical teams to keep projects moving and deliver a great client experience.

This role also includes occasional travel (10–15%), primarily to support hardware installations and on-site client needs.

Core Responsibilities

• Own requirements gathering, project planning, implementation, and deployment support for global clients and partners

• Support existing customers through upgrades, expansions, and additional product integrations

• Work directly with clients and technical teams to identify and resolve mapping and wayfinding issues

• Help commercial and technical stakeholders understand Pointr’s solutions and deployment process

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and deployment managers to integrate Pointr’s technology with client applications

• Investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software issues alongside Pointr’s delivery teams

• Lead client status meetings and manage scope, timelines, and priorities across multiple concurrent deployments

• Become an expert in Pointr’s product suite, helping clients get the most from our technology and bringing their feedback back to the product team

• Communicate proactively and clearly, keeping clients informed throughout the delivery process

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT project management or technical consultancy experience in a hardware or software company

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, learning on the job while managing multiple concurrent projects

• Experience leading customer-facing projects through delivery and ongoing support

• A self-starter with working knowledge of Agile software development processes and a strong interest in learning about indoor location technology

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders

• Process-oriented with strong attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in a relevant technology or management field (Computer Science is a plus)

• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Google Suite, MS Office, MS Project)

• Project Management Professional® (PMP) / Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certifications preferred
