What will I be doing?

As a Business Solutions Intern, you will support the Business Solutions team in understanding business needs and helping turn them into clear, practical technology and process improvements. You will attend stakeholder meetings and discovery sessions, helping to prepare materials, take structured minutes and maintain accurate records of actions, decisions and outstanding items.

You will assist with documenting business requirements, current processes and operational challenges. This will include creating process maps and workflow diagrams, as well as helping to maintain requirements logs, solution proposals, RAID logs, project trackers and governance documentation. You will also support research and options analysis, helping the team identify potential benefits, risks and dependencies associated with proposed solutions or process improvements.

As part of the role, you will help to log and monitor requests or issues using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow, follow up on agreed actions and ensure project information remains clear and up to date. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Product, Technology, Engineering, Finance and project delivery teams, gaining an understanding of how different areas contribute to the successful delivery of business solutions.

With guidance and support from the Business Solutions Manager and wider team, you will gradually take ownership of clearly defined tasks and smaller work packages. This will allow you to build your confidence, develop practical business analysis and project skills, and make a meaningful contribution to live initiatives while ensuring that your work is appropriately reviewed and approved.

What will I learn from this opportunity?

You will learn how business needs are translated into requirements and technology solutions, while gaining experience in process mapping and project delivery. You will work with business and technical teams, use tools such as Microsoft 365, Jira, SharePoint, Power BI and Salesforce, and develop your communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills. You will also gain insight into international media, broadcast and streaming operations.

What do I need to bring to the role?

    • Curiosity and confidence to ask questions
    • Clear, concise and professional communication
    • Organisation, reliability and follow-through
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • An analytical and process-focused mindset
    • Proactive ownership within defined responsibilities
    • Adaptability and openness to feedback
    • Collaborative working across teams, regions and time zones
    • Interest in systems and technology, without requiring extensive previous technical experience

    Internship Programme Benefits & Perks

In addition to valuable hands-on experience, UK interns receive a competitive benefits package that supports their physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing.

Additional perks include exclusive employee discounts, access to ‘myPerks’ NBCU’s employee programme with opportunities to win tickets to attend movie premieres, swag bundles and more. Plus, you’ll get free streaming access to your favourite platforms like Hayu and NOW TV.

The responsibilities associated with this position are not limited to the above description and may be modified at any time by the Company.
