Job Description

The Project Manager oversees land surveying projects from initiation through completion, coordinating field crews, survey technicians, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

•          Manage full project lifecycle: scoping, scheduling, field coordination, and final deliverable review

•          Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates

•          Coordinate with survey crews and CAD/drafting staff to keep field and office work aligned

•          Review survey data, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy prior to client delivery

•          Track project budgets, invoicing milestones, and change orders

•          Ensure compliance with state licensing boards, local platting/subdivision regulations, and utility coordination requirements (e.g., 811/call-before-you-dig)

•          Manage project documentation, permits, and easement research

•          Identify scheduling conflicts and resource needs across active projects

•          Support proposal/bid preparation for new projects

•          3+ years of experience in land surveying, civil engineering, or construction project management

•          Familiarity with boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, and construction staking surveys

•          Working knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or similar survey/CAD software preferred

•          Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

•          Understanding of platting, subdivision, and municipal permitting processes a plus

•          Valid driver's license
