On behalf of our Financial client, Procom is searching for a Java Developer - Mid-Level for a 12-month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3-4 days onsite at our client's Ann Arbor, MI 48104 office. Please note sponsorship is unavailable.

Java Developer - Mid-Level - Job Description:
The Java Developer - Mid-Level will be involved in developing and enhancing a complex software platform. The role focuses on both client and server-side Java development, contributing to the system's scalability and performance. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Java Developer - Mid-Level - Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Java applications with a focus on both client and server-side components
Collaborate with team members to design and implement distributed systems
Engage in real-time processing and relational database management
Contribute to the development of APIs and frameworks
Participate in agile, test-driven development processes

Java Developer - Mid-Level - Mandatory Skills:
3+ years of experience in Java, J2EE (both client and server side)
Strong understanding of OOA/OOD, distributed systems, and real-time processing
Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns (GoF)
Experience with rich UI frameworks like Angular JS, jQuery, HTML 5, Swing, Java FX
Experience with application development frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, JSF

Java Developer - Mid-Level - Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with concurrency & multi-threading
Experience with scaling, Java Garbage Collection, and performance tuning
Experience with build, deploy, and test automation tools like Ant, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins
Working knowledge of finance and/or trading domain
