Description
SAIC is seeking a Ground Architecture Engineer to provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services in support of an SAIC Prime Program at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA.
As the Ground Architecture Engineer, you will provide technical and programmatic support for the planning, acquisition, and implementation of ground architecture capabilities. You will work closely with government stakeholders, contractors, and mission partners to coordinate efforts that improve and enhance ground systems, ensuring capabilities are aligned with mission needs, technical requirements, and program objectives. You will also helps bridge technical, acquisition, and execution activities by supporting requirement development, stakeholder coordination, and contractor implementation in a complex, multi-organization environment.

Job Responsibilities to include:
- Support the planning, development, and enhancement of mission ground architecture capabilities across the enterprise.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, and mission partners to align technical efforts with operational needs and program priorities.
- Assist in translating capability needs into actionable requirements, acquisition inputs, and implementation plans.
- Support government-led activities to move ground capability efforts from concept development through contracting, acquisition, design reviews, milestone reviews, and execution.
- Collaborate with multiple organizations to ensure requirements, technical solutions, and delivered work remain aligned throughout the program lifecycle.
- Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives
- Monitor progress of contractor activities and provide coordination support to help resolve issues, gaps, and dependencies affecting implementation.
- Contribute technical insight on mission ground architecture, system integration, and capability improvement efforts.
- Support development of briefings, technical summaries, acquisition documentation, and leadership updates related to ground capability initiatives.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
- Current and Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly
- Experience with NRO NRO satellite systems
- Knowledge of mission ground architecture, system integration, and related capability development processes.
- Ability to work effectively across government, contractor, and enterprise stakeholder teams.
- Experience supporting efforts across acquisition, implementation, and technical coordination activities.
- Ability to ensure requirements traceability and alignment between mission needs and delivered solutions.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
- Available to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
