Job Description

We are delighted to be working with a leading global organisation who are looking to appoint an experienced AI Compliance & Security Engineer to support their ongoing AI strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a secure, compliant and well-governed AI environment. You’ll work closely with IT, Security, Legal, Data and wider business teams, helping to develop AI governance, security controls and responsible usage standards, while assessing emerging technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain security controls across AI platforms, cloud services and enterprise technologies.
  • Assess and secure AI solutions, including Generative AI, machine learning platforms and AI-enabled business applications.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with AI adoption, including data leakage, privacy concerns and emerging threats.
  • Develop AI security policies, standards, guardrails and approved usage patterns.
  • Provide technical security guidance and support across AI initiatives.
  • Conduct security assessments, threat modelling and architecture reviews.
  • Work with data, software engineering and cloud teams to embed security throughout AI development and deployment.
  • Monitor vulnerabilities, threat intelligence and the evolving AI security landscape, recommending appropriate action.
  • Support security incident investigations involving AI systems and contribute to lessons learned.
  • Support cybersecurity, data protection and AI governance audits and compliance activities.
  • Identify gaps in security controls, functionality and organisational readiness, helping to drive continuous improvement.

I am looking to speak to people with strong experience across cybersecurity engineering, security operations or security architecture, ideally with exposure to AI, Generative AI, machine learning or AI governance. A good understanding of frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, AI security risks, cloud security and Azure is important, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
