Project Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead complex software development and application delivery projects from initial planning through development, testing, and production deployment.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management and business analysis skills, experience managing offshore engineering teams across different time zones, and advanced Jira administration capabilities. This person must be comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing changing priorities, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Management: Lead software development projects from initiation and planning through execution, testing, deployment, and closure.

• Requirements & Business Analysis: Gather business requirements, define project scope, document deliverables, and manage stakeholder expectations.

• Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with business, technology, operations, marketing, and customer service teams. Explain complex technical concepts in simple business language.

• SDLC Management: Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring smooth coordination across development, QA, testing, and production releases.

• Offshore Team Management: Coordinate developers and engineering teams working across time zones, including regular late-evening meetings when required.

• Jira Administration: Configure Jira projects from scratch, customize workflows, manage Jira Software and Jira Service Management schemes, and establish automated reports and dashboards.

• Resource & Schedule Management: Manage project plans, timelines, resources, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure on-time execution.

• Risk & Issue Management: Identify project risks, resolve blockers, manage competing priorities, and adapt plans in a fast-paced environment.

• Process Improvement: Improve project workflows, development processes, and product rollout practices.

• Vendor & Resource Coordination: Manage internal teams, external vendors, and third-party resources involved in project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing software development, digital product, or application development projects.

• Proven, hands-on experience leading complex technical projects.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the complete SDLC.

• Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.

• Hands-on knowledge of coding concepts and JavaScript (JS).

• Experience managing offshore teams across significant time-zone differences, ideally around 12 hours.

• Advanced Jira administration skills, including project setup, workflow customization, schemes, automation, dashboards, and reporting.

• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Gantt charts, and flowchart tools.

• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities, and tight deadlines.

• Willingness to attend regular late-evening meetings to coordinate with offshore teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, but not mandatory.
