Sales Manager - Nutritional Ingredients & Custom Premixes | Pasadena, CA, United States | Hybrid | $100,000 - $140,000 base + commission + profit sharing
This employer is a dedicated supply chain solutions partner operating at the heart of the nutritional, dietary supplement, food & beverage, and pet wellness industries. Leveraging a worldwide network of certified manufacturing partners, they provide top-tier raw ingredients and custom premixes. They are seeking a seasoned Sales Manager with deep experience in the nutritional ingredients space to drive growth and act as a trusted advisor to supplement brands, manufacturers, and distributors.
The Role
• Drive new business development by identifying, targeting, and securing new clients in the supplement, functional food, and distribution sectors across the US.
• Manage and grow existing client relationships, acting as a strategic partner to understand their needs and offer optimal ingredient solutions.
• Develop and execute a territory plan to build a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue targets.
• Utilize deep market knowledge of raw material sourcing, pricing trends, and market dynamics in vitamins, marine nutrition, natural colorants, and specialty ingredients.
• Collaborate with internal supply chain, operations, and QA teams to ensure seamless logistics, compliance (GMP, FSMA, Kosher, Halal), and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company at industry trade shows, client visits, and networking events, with travel estimated at up to 30%.
What You'll Need
• Proven experience as a Sales Manager within the nutritional ingredients sector.
• Demonstrated success in new business development and strategic account management.
• Strong understanding of raw material sourcing, pricing trends, and market dynamics for key ingredient categories.
• Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and territory plans.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for industry events and client meetings.
