Senior Civil Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support water and infrastructure projects on a contract basis. The role will focus on civil design across flood risk, drainage, river engineering, flood alleviation schemes and reservoir projects, with flexible hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and delivering civil engineering packages for water and flood risk projects<br />Providing technical input across drainage, river engineering and flood alleviation schemes<br />Supporting the design and development of reservoir-related projects<br />Leading or coordinating civil design packages from concept through to delivery<br />Preparing technical reports, drawings, specifications and design documentation<br />Working collaboratively with engineers, project teams, clients and external stakeholders<br />Ensuring designs comply with relevant UK standards, regulations and project requirements Job

Requirements:

Significant UK consultancy experience within civil engineering and the water sector<br />Strong experience in the design of flood risk, drainage, river engineering or flood alleviation schemes<br />Understanding of reservoir projects and water-related infrastructure<br />Experience designing, leading or delivering civil design packages<br />Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills<br />Excellent communication and report-writing abilities<br />Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment<br />Availability to start in the near term, with the contract suitable for work inside or outside scope Working Arrangements: Contract opportunity within the water and civil engineering sector<br />Hybrid working available<br />This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer with UK consultancy experience to contribute to a range of technically challenging water and flood risk projects.
