Mechanical Fitter

What You Will Do

· Maintain and service industrial machinery and equipment.

· Diagnose and repair faults in conveyors, augers, bearings, belts, motors and gearboxes.

· Strip down and rebuild mechanical equipment.

· Carry out welding, fabrication and machinery installation.

· Maintain pneumatic systems and assist with equipment improvements.

· Complete maintenance records and follow safe working procedures.

· Work closely with plant operators and the maintenance team.

What You Will Need

· At least two years’ relevant mechanical maintenance or fitting experience.

· A recognised Mechanical Fitting, Maintenance or Fabrication qualification, including an equivalent qualification obtained in the Philippines.

· Welding and fabrication experience is essential.

· Strong machinery repair and mechanical fault-finding skills.

· Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, milling or agricultural environment.

· Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical instructions.

· Good teamwork, initiative and attention to detail.

· Sufficient English to communicate with colleagues and understand technical and safety instructions.

Experience with milling equipment, pneumatic systems and basic electrical systems would be an advantage.
