Type: Short Term Contract, with High Potential for Extension

Overview

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing Data Analytics team supporting enterprise data initiatives. This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud-based data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities across the organization.

This is a fully remote contract opportunity with strong potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Build and optimize data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
• Develop ETL processes with Matillion to integrate and transform data from multiple sources.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency through validation and cleansing processes.
• Troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and system-related challenges.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and architecture diagrams.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Approximately 3+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.
• Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Strong experience with:
• Snowflake
• Matillion (or comparable ETL tools)
• SQL
• Tableau
• Alteryx and/or related ETL/RDBMS technologies
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud.
