Infor LN Functional Consultant – Planning (MPS/MRP)

Location: San Diego, CA
Work Model: Onsite – 5 days/week in office
Job Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Infor LN Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Planning, MPS, and MRP within manufacturing and supply chain environments.

The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, optimizing, and supporting Infor LN planning processes, including planning master data, forecasting, supply/demand balancing, and MRP execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize planning processes using Infor LN.
  • Configure and maintain MPS and MRP planning parameters.
  • Manage and maintain planning master data, including items, lead times, order policies, supply sources, and planners.
  • Analyze and resolve planning issues such as shortages, incorrect planning signals, and capacity constraints.
  • Support forecasting, planning cycles, and supply/demand balancing.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders across planning, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Support Infor LN implementations, enhancements, testing, and production stabilization.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and provide solutions for planning-related issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Infor LN or Baan.
  • Experience in manufacturing and supply chain planning.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • MPS – Master Production Scheduling
    • MRP – Material Requirements Planning
    • Forecasting
    • Planning cycles
    • Supply and demand balancing
    • Planning master data
  • Understanding of item planning data, order policies, planning horizons, lead times, planners, and supply sources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with multi-site or global manufacturing environments is preferred.
