Solutions Architect (AWS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito) - Weybridge and remote - 14 months+/£350 per day inside IR35

Location: Hybrid- Weybridge 4 days a week

Job Description:

Extensive experience as a Solution Architect with deep expertise in AWS and serverless architectures, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito, CloudFormation/CDK, and related AWS services.
Proven ability to lead the end-to-end solution design process, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective enterprise solutions. Strong hands-on technical background with the ability to contribute to architecture, design, code reviews, and technical governance where required.
Excellent knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of modern software engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering and enterprise solution delivery, including at least 5 years in solution architecture roles involving large-scale enterprise platforms, cloud transformations, application modernisation, and migration programmes.
Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality architecture artefacts and technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture decision records, integration specifications, security assessments, and executive-level technical presentations.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with engineering teams, product owners, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to drive alignment and successful delivery.
Experience establishing architectural standards, governance processes, and best practices across development teams while ensuring compliance with security, operational, and enterprise architecture requirements.
Demonstrated proficiency in working with modern AI-based coding tools and solutions.
The successful candidate must be able to work from the Weybridge office a minimum of four days per week.
