Production Worker II (Relief Worker)

This role will successfully deliver our portfolio of disruptive innovation projects in food science terms. The products we develop will maximize long term shareholder value and delight our consumers. 

You will be held accountable for: 

• Adheres to company rules, policies, regulations, and core values, including those outlined in the Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook. 

• Responsible for maintaining an acceptable record of attendance. 

• Demonstrates strong teamwork and/or individual contribution, with a proven track record of success on high-performance teams. 

• Follow established safety practices and guidelines, including adherence to all PPE requirements and safety procedures. Individuals assigned to a radio must maintain communication at all times. 

• Maintains Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and excellent housekeeping standards throughout the shift, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This includes performing activities that improve work conditions, such as 5S. 

• Comply with the Company’s Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Management System by following all safety policies and procedures, participating in required training, reporting hazards/incidents/near misses, and actively supporting ISO 45001 certification and continual improvement of OH&S performance.    

• May communicate with the Production Supervisor for possible schedule changes and notifies appropriate personnel of any malfunctions or potential problems immediately 

• Contribute to continuous improvement activities 

• Ensure work area is kept clean at all times by adhering to the established housekeeping schedule and sanitation protocols 

• Performs other duties that are equivalent in skill to job requirements as required. 

• Palletizing product cases by specification according to product type and size.   

• Properly shrink wraps all pallets as required.   

• Ensures the correct date is affixed to cases and codes are changed at the prescribed times. 

• Clears all conveyor jams and assists mechanics during case packer breakdowns.  

•  Inspect finished goods to verify compliance with quality standards, packaging specifications, and product integrity before release.

Physical Requirements: 

• In order to perform duties in a satisfactory manner, the incumbent must be able to navigate the production floor where temperatures may vary in an environment with dust particulates 

• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing and walking 

• Bending, stooping, climbing and crouching on a regular basis in order to service, troubleshoot and clean equipment 

• Required to push, lift and pull flavor barrels 

Work Environment: 

• Work performed in a Plant environment 

• Mechanical equipment with moving mechanical parts 

• Exposure to high noise levels, dusts, heat, cold, smoke and fumes 

• Perform other related duties as assigned 

To be great at this job you will need: 

• High School Diploma or GED preferred 
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos;   
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals 
• Demonstrate the ability to understand and follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form to ensure accurate and efficient task execution 
• Ability to use computer applications 

$24.98 per hour
