The Role

• Install a variety of cables (multi-core, single core, co-axial) and electrical systems (junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches).
• Perform cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with shipbuilding teams to ensure timely and efficient electrical installations.
• Ensure all work complies with stringent safety and quality standards.

What You'll Need

• Completed a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification, with an SJIB card.
• Experience in marine installations or major industrial environments.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements.
• Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions.
• Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
• Skilled in mounting electrical equipment, earthing components, and completing cable terminations to trade standards.
