Design Engineer

We are looking for a Controls & Design Engineer to join an established engineering team. This is a varied role covering design, controls, product development and continuous improvement. Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (negotiable based on experience) We are open to graduates providing you have the relevant experience within electronics & control systems.

The Role:

Producing engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)<br />Creating work instructions and electrical schematics<br />Supporting new product development, testing and validation<br />Working on continuous improvement of existing products<br />Engineering administration, including part number creation and BOM management<br />Providing application and technical support<br />Researching, developing and testing control systems<br />Creating technical documentation, manuals and guides

About You:

- Engineering or Product Design qualification preferred but not essential<br />CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks<br />Experience with electrical and/or diesel control systems<br />PLC, CODESYS or scripting experience would be advantageous<br />1+ years' experience within a design/engineering environment<br />Experience with rotating machinery, steel fabrication or control systems would be beneficial<br />Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills<br />Able to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines<br />Self-motivated, inquisitive and keen to learn<br />If you think this role may be of interest, APPLY TODAY! #SUFFOLKPERM
