The Opportunity

We are seeking a Service Continuity Manager to join our Digital Modernisation Division, working within complex, multi vendor technology environments as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

The Service Continuity Manager is responsible for ensuring the resilience, availability and recoverability of a hybrid cloud hosting platform, including virtual machines, databases and enabling services such as networking, identity, storage, security and automation. The role supports mission critical service delivery by establishing, maintaining and continuously improving business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities across cloud and on premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and continuously improve service continuity and disaster recovery strategies, including governance of recovery objectives and service dependency mapping.

  • Contribute to resilient platform design by supporting high availability, failover and failback capabilities, and ensuring backup and recovery strategies align with business and operational needs.
  • Plan, coordinate and lead continuity testing activities, including disaster recovery simulations, failover exercises and recovery validation, while driving continuous improvement outcomes.
  • Provide continuity leadership during major incidents, coordinating recovery activities across infrastructure, database and application teams, and contributing to post incident reviews.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, service owners and vendors to manage continuity risks, support compliance and audit activities, enable automation, and provide regular reporting on resilience posture and improvement initiatives.
About You and What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrated capability designing and evolving service continuity strategies within complex hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience managing continuity for infrastructure platforms including virtual machines, databases and supporting services, with knowledge of backup, replication and failover technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, coupled with effective risk identification, assessment and mitigation practices.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 22301 (Business Continuity), ISO 27001 and related governance, compliance and assurance frameworks.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and analytical skills, with the ability to engage technical and non technical stakeholders, interpret testing outcomes and adapt to evolving environments.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen, with the ability to obtain a Baseline clearance.
