The Opportunity

Our client, a leading European environmental markets brokerage, is seeking a Senior Biofuels Broker to join its growing DACH team in Amsterdam.

This is a front-office brokerage role focused on the German biofuels market, with responsibility for originating opportunities, facilitating transactions, and developing relationships across the renewable fuels value chain. The successful candidate will work closely with producers, traders, obligated parties, and market participants, helping clients navigate an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory landscape.

The role offers the opportunity to play a key part in one of Europe's most active renewable fuels markets while contributing to the continued growth of a leading brokerage platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and broker biofuel transactions across the DACH region.

• Build and manage relationships with clients across the biofuels supply chain.

• Identify commercial opportunities and arbitrage opportunities across domestic and international markets.

• Structure and negotiate transactions while supporting efficient market execution.

• Provide clients with market intelligence and commercial insights.

• Monitor developments in German and European biofuels markets.

• Analyse regulatory changes, pricing trends, and market drivers.

• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and maximise opportunities.

• Contribute to desk growth and overall market expansion.

Candidate Profile

✔ 2-6+ years of experience within biofuels, environmental markets, commodities, energy trading, or brokerage.

✔ Native-level German and fluent English.

✔ Strong understanding of:
