M365 Copilot Consultant

As a Functional Consultant – Microsoft 365 & Copilot, you will play a key role throughout the full lifecycle of Microsoft 365 implementations. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technology, helping organisations translate their business processes into effective, scalable solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain broad functional knowledge of Microsoft 365 productivity applications, with a commitment to continuous learning as the platform evolves.
• Develop and apply knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, including understanding how Copilot and Copilot Agents can support and enhance business processes.
• Keep up to date with emerging AI and Microsoft 365 capabilities and develop a clear understanding of how these technologies can be applied in business environments.
• Develop a strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud architecture and pursue relevant Microsoft certifications and professional development.
• Take an active role throughout the full implementation lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to deployment, transition, and adoption.
• Analyse and document business needs and processes from a functional perspective, aligning them with standard Microsoft 365 capabilities.
• Contribute to the development and optimisation of standardised business processes.
• Plan, facilitate, and document functional workshops with business stakeholders.
• Design functional solutions using standard Microsoft 365 functionality, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and user adoption.
• Define and manage project scope based on agreed business requirements.
• Consolidate requirements and communicate them clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.
• Conduct Fit-Gap analyses and produce clear functional blueprints and solution designs.
• Support the configuration of Microsoft 365 solutions in line with the agreed functional design.
• Provide clear functional input to developers for custom development, integrations, and extensions where required.
• Support the transition and deployment phase, including key-user training, solution validation, migration preparation, and execution of migration activities.
• Contribute to change management and user adoption activities, including training sessions, webinars, user guidance, and quick reference materials.
• Apply recognised change management principles and methodologies. PROSCI certification or equivalent experience is considered an advantage.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who combines strong functional consulting skills with a genuine interest in Microsoft 365, Copilot, and emerging AI technologies.

You should be able to:

• Facilitate workshops and confidently engage with stakeholders at different levels.
• Challenge requirements constructively and identify opportunities to leverage standard Microsoft functionality.
• Work collaboratively with developers, architects, project managers, and business users.
• Manage changing requirements while maintaining a clear focus on scope and business value.
• Continuously develop your knowledge of the Microsoft 365 and Copilot ecosystem.
