  • Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and other construction-phase documentation.
  • Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction observations.
  • Identify and resolve design, code, coordination, and constructability issues.
  • Develop practical engineering solutions that meet project requirements and client objectives.
  • Support commissioning, inspections, punch-list activities, and project closeout.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, energy requirements, and client specifications.
  • Maintain a high standard of technical accuracy, quality, and documentation throughout each project.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience; 10+ years preferred.
  • Proven experience designing HVAC and MEP systems for commercial and institutional facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, ventilation, mechanical codes, and energy-efficiency principles.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or comparable mechanical design software.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and sealing engineering drawings and calculations.
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering, architectural, and construction teams.
  • Hands-on HVAC and mechanical design experience is required.
  • Experience with healthcare, municipal, institutional, veterinary, or other complex facilities is preferred.
  • Candidates whose experience is primarily project management without substantial mechanical design experience will not be considered.
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement savings plan with company contribution.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Continuing education and professional development support.
  • Opportunity to work on technically challenging commercial and institutional projects.
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Long-term career growth and advancement opportunities.
