Job Description

Your new company

You'll be joining a well-established organisation with a growing technology function supporting users across multiple regions. With a strong focus on stability, security, and continuous improvement, the business is investing in its internal IT capability and building out a collaborative team environment locally in Sydney. The culture is professional and delivery-focused, with exposure to a broad infrastructure landscape and a strong emphasis on teamwork.

Your new role

As a Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation and support of the organisation's IT environment. Working as part of a small team, your focus will be on maintaining reliable, secure systems while supporting users and business operations. This is a hands-on position centred around BAU administration rather than design or architecture.

Key responsibilities include
  • Administering and supporting Microsoft technologies including M365, Entra ID, Intune, and Hybrid Active Directory
  • Managing and maintaining servers, virtualisation platforms, and core infrastructure services
  • Supporting endpoint management, device compliance, and user lifecycle processes
  • Providing L2/L3 support, troubleshooting issues, and performing root cause analysis
  • Assisting with backup operations and contributing to recovery readiness
  • Supporting disaster recovery processes where required
  • Working with existing security frameworks and tools, with security oversight managed centrally
  • Maintaining documentation and contributing to ongoing operational improvements
What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience operating as a Systems Administrator within complex environments
  • Strong hands-on administration of Microsoft platforms (M365, Entra ID, Intune, Hybrid AD), including configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting at depth
  • Solid experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure and virtualisation platforms, including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated ability to handle L3 escalations, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex infrastructure issues across servers, identity, and endpoints
  • Experience administering endpoint management and identity platforms with a focus on security, compliance, and access governance
  • Practical experience managing backup environments and supporting disaster recovery processes, including monitoring, validation, and restore activities
  • Comfortable working across BAU operations while contributing to system improvements, standardisation, and operational uplift
  • Experience working within structured IT environments with shared ownership of infrastructure and service delivery across a team
What you'll get in return
  • Opportunity to work in a stable, well-supported IT environment with modern technologies
  • A balanced role combining support, improvement initiatives, and project involvement
  • Flexible working arrangement
  • A collaborative team culture with future growth and development opportunities
