DESIGN ENGINEER Our client is a leading Engineering company designing and producing a range of bespoke products for some of the worlds largest companies. As a result of expansion they are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Design Engineer to join their existing Design Team and work on a range of Client led represents an excellent opportunity to develop your career with an excellent employer. THE ROLE The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with customers and produce innovative 3D designs for new products and amendments to existing products. These designs should consider the manufacturing process to aid ease of manufacture and provide a balance between functionality and aesthetics. Ensure that products fully comply with all regulatory compliance and safety legislation. THE PERSON Hold a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Design Engineering or alternatively a lesser qualification if can demonstrate considerable practical experience. A minimum of 1 year working in either a Manufacturing or Engineering environment with strong design skills Solid experience in using at least one major design software package ie Solid works, Catia, Pro E etc A strong problem solver able to come up with innovative designs to overcome Engineering issues Excellent communication skills both orally and written Strong personal skills to assist customer interaction SALARY A highly competitive package is available for the successful candidate dependent on the level of relevant experience.
