The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling.
• Position and organize containers within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections for safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container moves.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks up to lifting 50lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs on railcars and equipment.
• Open availability for shift work is required.
