Quality Assurance Engineer

IDR is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you'll help ensure high-quality player experiences by planning and executing test coverage across connected user journeys, services, and gameplay transitions. This is a great opportunity to work with a leading organization in the interactive entertainment industry, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to validate releases and reduce risk.
Position Overview for the Quality Assurance Engineer:

• Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases for core user journeys and integrated systems
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing across client, services, environments, and configurations
• Triage, document, and track defects while clearly communicating severity, impact, and next steps
• Collaborate with developers, designers, producers, and QA leadership to align on milestones, dependencies, and quality risks
• Support readiness activities for builds, environments, accounts, and playtest/milestone validation efforts

Requirements for the Quality Assurance Engineer:

• 3+ years of hands-on software QA experience, including ownership of testing for a feature, subsystem, or team
• Experience working on a live-service competitive PvP game, MOBA, or a similarly interconnected player experience.
• Experience testing integrated systems that include client/web interfaces, services, and APIs
• Familiarity with Agile workflows and modern development/release processes; strong communication and follow-through skills
• Ability to coordinate with distributed or external testing partners and assess coverage/evidence for gaps
