Job Description

We are seeking a skilled High-End Residential Carpenter to join our team building luxury custom homes in Altadena and Pacific Palisades. This position is ideal for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and has experience working on custom residential projects from framing through finish work.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in occupied luxury homes and around high-profile clientele while maintaining a professional attitude at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry on custom luxury residential projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Install framing, blocking, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, millwork, paneling, and other finish materials.
  • Build and install custom wood components with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Assist with layout, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
  • Work alongside the Foreman and Superintendent to keep projects on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Identify and report construction issues or discrepancies.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship that meets luxury residential standards.

3+ years of experience in high-end custom residential carpentry.

Experience with both rough and finish carpentry.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

Strong knowledge of residential framing methods and finish carpentry techniques.

Experience installing:

  • Doors and windows
  • Baseboards and crown molding
  • Custom trim
  • Cabinetry
  • Millwork
  • Paneling
  • Hardware

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must have your own hand tools.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, and uneven terrain.
