Travel Expense Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Travel Expense Specialist in Palo Alto, CA.

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Travel & Expense Specialist to support corporate expense management, policy compliance, and employee reimbursement processes. This role is responsible for reviewing and auditing expense reports, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, supporting travel and expense system administration, and providing exceptional customer service to employees and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of accounting, travel and expense, accounts payable, audit, or related financial operations experience
• Experience working with travel and expense management systems such as Concur, AppZen, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of policy compliance, internal controls, and expense auditing practices
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Concur and/or AppZen administration and support
• Experience working with SQL for reporting or data analysis
• Experience in corporate accounting, financial operations, or shared services environments
• Process improvement or workflow optimization experience
• Knowledge of Excel Power Query and Power BI

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
