The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate container movements and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established procedures. • Ensure accurate and timely handling of containers to keep freight moving efficiently. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is a mandatory requirement. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening (cannabis prohibited).
