Cloud Data Engineer (Azure)

Open Position: Mid-Level Data Scientist / Senior Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Data Integration & Pipelines: Design, build, and optimize enterprise ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, or PL/SQL procedures.
• Cloud & Lakehouse Management: Manage and tune Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL & Spark pools) and Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse.
• Database & Scripting: Write and optimize complex SQL/PL-SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, and queries.
• Analytics & AI: Build Power BI-ready datasets and integrate AI/machine learning insights using Azure Machine Learning and Azure OpenAI Service.
• Governance & Security: Implement data quality, governance, and access controls using Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Entra ID.

Core Skill Requirements

• Cloud Architecture & Data Engineering: 7+ years in enterprise data analytics & complex ETL workflows; 4+ years in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, & cloud data warehousing.
• SQL & Data Modeling: 7+ years in advanced SQL & PL/SQL (query optimization, performance tuning, indexing); 4+ years in data modeling & cost optimization in Azure.
• Programming & Security: 6+ years with PySpark, Python, or Scala; 3+ years with Microsoft Entra ID & Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Methodology: 3+ years in Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development.

• Business Intelligence: 3+ years with Power BI semantic models and dataflows.
• Generative AI: 3+ years with Azure OpenAI or generative AI data integration.
