Job Description
Salary: €100-250k
My client is a tech-focused market-maker with groundbreaking success in the high frequency trading space. Seeking a decisive, logical thinker to join their Production Engineering team, who manage the reliability, scalability and performance of the live trading systems - all built in-house.
This role is critical to the firm's trading activities. Sitting on the trading floor, and working closely with users, your remit covers everything from market access, to strategy evaluation and management, through to performance tuning and trading automation. This is an engineering position - not support - so you'll set the standards for the production environment.
Here they operate with tight feedback loops and quick development cycles, and you can make a real, direct impact on trading results from day one.
You'll need to have a user-first approach to problem-solving where you can adapt and choose the right tool based on each problem's requirements. In return, you'll enjoy a relaxed culture working alongside some of the best professionals in the industry from over 40 countries.

Requirements
- Experience managing day-to-day operations of software and hardware infrastructure
- Solid experience with Unix/Linux systems
- The ability to automate tasks using Python
- Strong design, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with relational databases - they use PostgreSQL, but welcome experience with any other database
- Collaborative communication skills; not afraid to challenge or defend a strategy
