Job Description

Are you ready to take the lead on how AI is used safely, securely and effectively across a growing renewable energy business? As AI technology develops at pace, we need someone who can help us make the most of its potential while making sure the platforms and products we use are right for our people and our business.

At EDF power solutions, we’re shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Your work will help us turn that ambition into action – delivering renewable energy solutions that will power homes, businesses and communities for generations to come.

As our AI Product Manager, you’ll turn opportunities into AI products that make a real difference. You’ll shape our AI roadmap, bring business and technology teams together and take ideas from discovery through to live solutions that people trust and use.

The Opportunity

As our AI Product Manager, you’ll take a senior role in shaping how AI is used across EDF power solutions. With an AI platform already secured for use in the UK, you’ll help us move into the next phase, leading how it’s used, managing specialist suppliers and partners, and making sure AI solutions are secure, responsible and delivering genuine value.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role offers flexibility to be based UK-wide. You’ll come together with colleagues for an office meeting around once a month, which could be in #London, #Durham, or #Edinburgh.

You’ll also have the opportunity to shape our wider AI strategy, collaborating with IT teams across the UK and France and bringing together expertise from across EDF. You’ll lead suppliers and delivery partners, explore emerging AI capabilities and help us get the balance right between innovation, security and practical business value.

Why EDF power solutions?

We’re united by a shared ambition: to tackle climate change, shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Our diverse team is growing fast, driven by innovation and a commitment to clean, green energy for all.

With technologies spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, battery storage and green hydrogen, we’re the UK & Ireland’s most diverse renewable generator. By 2035, we aim to deliver 10GW of low-carbon energy – and we’d love you to help us get there.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a senior AI Product Manager who can bring together AI strategy, product management and strong commercial thinking. You’ll be confident working across a complex organisation, managing external partners and influencing how AI is used safely and effectively. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • Experience in AI product management, product ownership or a similar AI or machine learning-focused role within a large or complex organisation.
  • Experience delivering AI or machine learning solutions from concept through to production.
  • Experience managing technology suppliers, delivery partners or third-party AI providers.
  • Experience shaping or contributing to an organisation-wide AI strategy and product roadmap.
  • Knowledge of modern AI technologies, including large language models, generative AI and emerging AI capabilities.
  • An understanding of responsible AI, data governance, privacy and the security considerations involved in introducing AI into a business.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across different business areas, functions or geographical locations.
  • Experience within energy, utilities or another large, complex organisation would be useful.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Shaping and managing our AI strategy and roadmap, helping us decide where AI can make the biggest difference.
  • Leading how our AI platform is used across the business, making sure it’s adopted safely, securely and appropriately.
  • Managing specialist AI suppliers and delivery partners, making sure solutions meet our needs and deliver value.
  • Working with IT colleagues across the UK and France to share expertise and make the most of capabilities from across EDF.
  • Setting clear standards around responsible AI use, including security, privacy, data quality and governance.
  • Taking AI opportunities from discovery through to delivery, adoption and ongoing improvement.
  • Exploring emerging AI technologies and assessing where they can solve genuine business problems.
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders and helping teams understand what AI can, and can’t, do for them.
  • Measuring adoption and value to make sure AI investments are delivering the outcomes we expected.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

If you’re looking to join a company where you can work hard, have fun, and help to create a net zero future – then you’re in the right place! If you’re passionate about tackling climate change to support a cleaner, greener future, we’d love you to come and join us.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, our employee benefits include flexible benefits tailored to your lifestyle – from electric vehicle leasing and private healthcare to extra holiday and more.

Everyone is welcome at EDF power solutions; we’re committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility, and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.

Closing Date: Sunday 25th October
