Job Description

About Boulder
Boulder Care is an award-winning digital clinic for addiction medicine, recognized for both innovation and high quality of patient care. Founded in 2017 by CEO Stephanie Strong, our mission is to improve the lives of people with substance use disorders through compassionate, evidence-based care.

We provide Boulder patients with a fully virtual, multidisciplinary care team—including medical providers and peer recovery specialists—who deliver personalized treatment, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and ongoing support. Our approach is grounded in clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and a commitment to reducing barriers to recovery. Boulder partners with leading health plans, employers, and community organizations to ensure that our services are accessible and covered for the people who need them most.

Named by Fortune as one of the Best Workplaces in Healthcare, Boulder fosters a culture of kindness, respect, and meaningful work that delivers outstanding patient outcomes and moves the addiction medicine industry forward.

About this role

Boulder Care is seeking a Partner & Commercial Marketing Manager to join the Growth Team.

This person will own how we reach our most strategic partners — the organizations that trust us with their patients, and the payers that make our care accessible and covered. In practice: health systems, city and state governments, justice and re-entry agencies, provider groups, community organizations, and health plans.

You'll join as Boulder's first partner and commercial marketer, building the motion behind our strongest enrollment channel and our deepest strategic partnerships. You'll create the proof and the programs that help our community engagement liaisons, our partnerships team, and our Commercial team open doors and get more patients into care.

Your mandate is to build this critical function from the ground up; you'll own both strategy and execution. You'll turn our clinical outcomes and market economics into arguments that travel, stand up B2B demand generation and our events program, and make our partnerships repeatable rather than opportunistic.

You will be measured on the institutional demand you generate, whether the proof you build gets used by our Commercial, partnerships and field teams, and the partnerships and segments you activate that weren't producing before. We care about what moves, not what ships.

What you’ll do

Essential Functions

  • Equip Commercial and Partnerships with institutional proof. Turn our clinical outcomes and market economics into the assets that carry weight in payer and health-system conversations.
  • Own partner and referral marketing. Build the playbook that does not exist today: segment-specific value propositions, collateral, educational materials and programming across our referral ecosystem; a partner nurture and communications cadence; systematic outreach to deepen our strongest partners and prospect their lookalikes; and co-marketing with programmatic and statewide partners.
  • Run B2B demand generation and the field program. Stand up and measure institutional top-of-funnel demand, including webinars, email, paid B2B, and our conference and events program. Report partner-sourced and event-sourced activity honestly, and grow toward account-based targeting as our audience data supports it.
  • Design the programmatic partnership motion. Your job is to understand our highest producing partnerships and make them repeatable. Build deliberate targeting, positioning, and launch marketing for statewide programs, health-system service lines, and multi-site networks, and use that motion to open the underpenetrated segments where we have a value proposition but small referral base.

What you bring

  • 5+ years in B2B, partner, channel, or commercial marketing, with meaningful time marketing to institutional healthcare buyers.
  • Depth on how healthcare B2B decisions actually get made and how they differ by buyer — plus a track record of building the assets that move those decisions.
  • Experience working alongside a field, community, or provider-relations team, with an instinct for what they need to be effective.
  • Hands-on execution in a small team. This is the first and only marketing seat pointed at these audiences, so you will scope, write, and ship the work yourself.
  • AI fluency as an operating requirement. You're beginning as a team of one, and we expect you to analyze, build, scale and deploy with AI, with the judgment to know where output needs checking and where AI doesn't belong.
  • Exceptional writing, strategic framing, and communication skills. This role requires turning clinical and economic data into a clear, credible argument for a highly educated professional audience across a variety of mediums.
  • Demonstrated ownership of B2B demand generation with clear reporting on what each program produced.
  • Comfort with measurement and honesty about it: a track record of building reporting views that are clear about what attribution can and cannot show.
  • Cross-functional range: you can work directly with clinical, commercial, and field leaders and be trusted by all three.
  • A bias to action and high comfort with ambiguity, operating autonomously in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have but not required

  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, Medicaid, or another regulated, high-trust healthcare category is helpful but not required
  • Experience with account-based marketing programs and the tooling behind them

Work environment

  • This is a fully remote role but we are currently only hiring candidates located in the following states: AZ, CA, FL, GA, ID, IL, KY, MA, MN, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, and WV.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
  • Office Requirements: Boulder teammates working with sensitive information must have a dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet to maintain a secure, distraction-free environment, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Boulder Care employees are free to use our river-front HQ located in Portland, OR whenever they would like
