cer Financial are working alongside an accounting firm based in London, who are seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Take advantage of the opportunity to upskill and develop experience in international private client tax matters.

Responsibilities

1. Focus on domestic UK private client work - STEP, trusts, and estates exposure is advantageous.
2. Manage complex Private Client Tax engagements, including planning and compliance.
3. Act as a senior client contact, leading meetings and providing proactive, tailored tax advice.
4. Take the lead on technical tax matters, ensuring high-quality work and keeping the team updated on legislation.
5. Lead, coach and mentor team members, including delegation, performance management and development.
6. Manage team resources and workloads, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and at the right level.
7. Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and the use of technology.
8. Support partners with business development, including identifying new opportunities, referrals and strengthening professional networks.

About you

1. Ideally currently working 50:50 across compliance and advisory who is looking to increase the advisory element of their role.
2. CTA qualified – essential; STEP desirable.
3. Solid Private Client Tax experience gained in an accountancy practice.
4. Experience managing complex/high-risk tax clients and leading technical work.
5. Strong client relationship and communication skills, with confidence dealing with senior stakeholders.
6. Strong understanding of tax legislation and regulatory changes and their impact on clients.
7. Good commercial awareness and ability to identify business development opportunities.
8. Able to operate as a senior figure and leader within the tax department.
9. Does not require visa sponsorship.
